Program Overview
As worksites become more complex and safety expectations
continue to rise, supervisors are increasingly required
to manage fitness-for-duty concerns with confidence,
consistency and professionalism.
Substance use—including alcohol, cannabis, prescription
medications, and other substances — can directly affect
worker performance, judgment, and site safety. Front-line
leaders are often the first to observe these concerns, yet
many report limited training in how to respond appropriately.
This in-person, interactive training session is designed to
close that gap. Participants will leave with practical tools to
recognize concerns early, respond effectively, and support a
safe and respectful workplace.
